A mild soap solution and a Q-tip is the best way of cleaning the plate. For regular dusting use a glasses cleaning cloth. The use of anything that has alcohol or solvents will destroy the image on the plate.

When displaying the plate, do not put glass directly on the surface of the image. It will weld to the glass and not be able to be removed. A matt that covers the edges of the plate will work, or a shadow box frame that you mount the back of the plate to the back of the shadow box frame. You can also display the plate by itself, either on a shelf or directly to a wall.
